I think they would if they were older than 5 and it happened during a pandemic. And even if they didn’t know *why* they died, the fact they did is traumatic in itself, especially if it was avoidable.

Totally agree lessons need to be learned - my worry is the wrong ones are being learned. If I had any confidence at all that better mitigation etc was likely I’d feel better. I don’t see any investment in that for most schools. Also next time the disease might affect kids worse than adults.

I’d be interested to learn why that is and what was done differently. My experience of Switzerland is of a society much more organised and rule-following than in the UK. Also I suspect generally healthier and wealthier. But I may be wrong.

“Hey kids, I know half of your grandparents died and some of your parents and teachers have been disabled, but at least you didn’t miss any school!” Who’s to say the trauma from that wouldn’t have had worse effects than the missed school time? Can we run that counter factual with any confidence?

This also applies in late 2020/early 2021 when the Alpha wave hit with a vengeance.

You see that is the kind of thing I’m talking about. You have to respect the organisational skills even if you don’t admire the morality!

He just said to the group of lads next to me: “I’ve heard Brighton’s live, yeah? Great place to get some bitches?” It’s Pride weekend, so he may be in for a little bit of a surprise.

He’s gone through at least half a dozen balloons since I got on so he must be pretty zonked by now. Hope he’s not coming to my gig

It’s a comedy with Maya Rudolph - very funny and some nice moments of satire in there too

Haha! Indeed. Have you seen Loot on Apple TV? It’s an under seen gem which has a few wish fulfilment bits in it.

I found it quite elegiac - without the silly wish fulfilment ending it could have been a form of tragedy

You were all wrong - it’s the shirt he’s selling. Obviously.

That was very much Ahir’s fault…

The catering must be incredible

It always sounded to me like a joke from a Chris Morris show

Nope not working in the app or online - it says call us and then…

I generally have but this week they’ve been absolutely rubbish

110

It’s been quite a week tbh

Well I’m on a train now but it’s still not moving and I’m not 100% sure it’s going to the right place. I was meant to have left an hour ago and the staff seem to know less than usual. @lner.co.uk have been an absolute joke today.

Genuinely scary here - absolutely no crowd management or information and all of the screens seem to be wrong as well. I’m really having a great few days in terms of transport
