For sure, a fascist driving a tank can break a lot of systems. But even then, resilience and the time it takes to fall is critically important. The structural failures outlined in that talk are one reason MAHA's "3-day SMO" against US science has been so effective, so fast, and so deadly.

There's room for a whole new "horseshoe theory of idiot medical policy" there, tracing links between anti-vax and anti-N95 misinformation and sketchy institutional medical politics. E.g. Wakefield was protected for over a decade by the same medical insiders who now pretend he was never one of them.

And of course Loeb (also on Conly's IPCRDEG-C19 panel that led WHO's opposition to aerosol-appropriate PPE) worked with Conly to produce that incredibly sloppy 2022 study that wrongly claimed to show that N95s don't work better than medical masks. If you think the new HEPA study is bad, read this!

Absolutely - with the people responsible still doing victory laps about handwashing, thinking they're him. Pretty sure the whole pandemic was meant to be their Avengers superhero movie, where they deliberately made the same mistake as SARS and showed they were right all along. Only...they weren't.

Also, this is all from the same club of infection control and public health leaders who are in charge of the Ebola response. And if that doesn't worry you enough... ...take a look how they're doing it. It's like someone said "Remember how you 🤬'ed up with COVID? Do that again! Only worse."
