Everyday you can read numerous articles like this about how bad the DOJ is and how they routinely lie & don’t follow the law. And yet 7 members of the Minneapolis City Council voted yesterday to apply for a grant with the DOJ when the stated purpose of funding was to arrest “illegal aliens”

Not the point of the post, but I feel so much pride in the place where I live when I think about the fact that not only did we do so much to protect our immediate neighbors, but northeasters were also all over Columbia Heights & Fridley everyday too because they needed help.

Let’s use our brains here. Does it make sense for *Minneapolis* to partner with the federal government when their stated purpose of funding is to do immigration enforcement of “illegal aliens”. Obviously not. It’s uncomfortable to accept that we have a fascist regime but time to act accordingly.

Tonight Windom Park had their annual community BBQ. The most popular response to the question of “what’s missing in our neighborhood?” was by far “privacy from surveillance”

Beautiful new memorial on Central Ave honoring Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Alex Pretti, Renee Good, and all those murdered by ICE. At this very spot someone was taken the morning Tom Homan announced a “draw down” in Minnesota. To this day, ICE continues to operate here.

The argument is being made that we need to have mass surveillance drones that work with ICE because every City will be going this direction & not having drones will cause Minneapolis residents to be “collateral damage” Maintaining civil liberties while other cities get rid of them is a good thing!

ICE murdered multiple people in the last week, and Tom Homan said in June they arrested the most people ever in the history of the agency. Yesterday’s Minneapolis ICE flight had 45 detainees which was the highest single day total since February 4th. ICE never left & your neighbors still need you.

Another ICE murder in Maine this morning. I’m not sure what other crimes against humanity people need to see them commit to understand that no local government should have any contact or association with them, and certainly shouldn’t be using the same drone surveillance company as them.

ICE murdered Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston this week. ICE immediately started lying just like with Renee Good saying Lorenzo was trying to run over the agents, but eye witnesses dispute this and the agents weren’t wearing body cameras. Then ICE mocked Lorenzo as he laid in the street dying.

The drone company Skydio also contracts with ICE, which for any reasonable person would be a non-starter after Operation Metro Surge. It makes no sense to risk handing over surveillance footage of Minneapolis residents to ICE after they’ve spent the year murdering & kidnapping Minneapolis residents.

You would think that being against mass surveillance and opposing contracting with drone companies that work with ICE would be a no-brainer in Minneapolis after we were occupied in Operation Metro Surge. But yet, this is still being pushed forward. This is why local politics matter. Get involved!

10 years ago today Philando Castile was murdered by St Anthony Police Officer Jeronimo Yanez, who never faced criminal consequences and walks free to this day. As do his colleagues who when they showed up didn’t render medical aid to Philando, choosing to console a crying Officer Yanez instead.

Minneapolis Police didn’t intervene in any ICE murders or kidnappings during Operation Metro Surge. And now Mayor Frey announced he’s ordering Minneapolis Police to intervene and arrest people who are homeless or using drugs, giving ICE another pretext to kidnap them under the Laken Riley Act.

Using the official City of Minneapolis account this way is disgusting. Not only is this content dehumanizing, but the account continues to be politicized in support of the Mayor. It’s a massive disservice and liability for the City to have no avenues for official nonpartisan information anymore.

The Supreme Court has been illegitimate for years and any democrat running for federal office not willing to nuke the whole thing is not ready for this moment. Similarily, any local elected official who says “not my jurisdiction” or thinks local protections aren’t needed needs to go immediately.
