Here’s my @vulture.com recap of the grimmest STAR TREK episode of any series ever. (Probably? I can’t think of a grimmer one.)

I’m on vacation this week so it’s an all-Tobias review batch at @thereveal.bsky.social, including a Spidey review some might find upsetting.
Scott TobiasToday for The Reveal, I reviewed the new SPIDER-MAN, who joins Mando and Supergirl in our Summer of Franchise Fatigue, and Gregg Araki's latest bubbly provocation, which I dug: thereveal.film/in-review-sp...
Today @thereveal.bsky.social I looked at the seemingly instantly shelved pilot episode for the SOME LIKE IT HOT television series (in which Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis briefly return as their movie characters):
It’s Monday, so @mikeryan.bsky.social and I are back with a new episode of Ford Focus. This time we discuss THE MOSQUITO COAST, an underrated movie in which Ford plays, in his words, “a nut.”
I just reported a ghosting from 11 years ago —a company that flew me to NY and seemed to like me enough to get back to me with a “no” at the very least—because I hold grudges.
Tanya GoldmanI’ve worked in several industries. Ghosting is omnipresent. Post-interview ghosting is esp. abhorrent. All job candidates deserve, at bare minimum, automated rejection notifications. To this day, I can fondly name multi people who respected me enough to relay “we went in another direction” news.
Happy to be back at @vulture.com recapping the latest season of STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS:
Come for the discussion of a semi-forgotten very '90s thriller. Stay for a clip of someone playing the janky-looking BLOWN AWAY CD-Rom game!
Mike RyanFor this week’s Ford Focus: A Harrison Ford Podcast patreon only Ford Escape bonus episode, bouncing off of questionable Irish accents in The Devil’s Own, @kphipps3000.bsky.social and I dive into BLOWN AWAY (this movie delights me to no end and Keith had never seen it)
Did Scott get it right? Here's your chance to weigh in / yell at him.
Scott TobiasLet's fight! (If you're a paid subscriber. Otherwise you will probably be fine with how these first few are ordered.) thereveal.film/worst-to-bes...
Today at @thereveal.bsky.social: Did you know that Homer's ODYSSEY has inspired many movies but only one other attempt to adapt the whole work as a feature film: 1954's ULYSSES. It's strikingly different from Nolan's film but there are some overlapping bits that suggest Nolan knows it well:
ICYMI, you might enjoy this (even if you have not seen THE DEVIL'S OWN).
Mike RyanThe second episode of FORD FOCUS: A HARRISON FORD PODCAST is out. This week @kphipps3000.bsky.social and I have @lanebrown.bsky.social on for Alan Pakula’s THE DEVIL’S OWN
Live now: The second episode of FORD FOCUS: A HARRISON FORD PODCAST. New York magazine's Lane Brown joins @mikeryan.bsky.social and me to discuss THE DEVIL'S OWN, starring Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt as, respectively, a good cop and a deadly (but kind of nice) member of the IRA.
podcasts.apple.comToday at @thereveal.bsky.social: My Drive-In '76 column continues with a quadruple feature of July movies. One's got a field-kicking mule. Another has worms. All that plus a tale of demonic possession and co-ed convicts going wild in Kansas City.
This was a fun discussion of a movie I had not seen. I was not prepared for an opening scene in which Tommy Lee Jones wears a chicken costume.
Mike RyanThe first FORD FOCUS: A HARRISON FORD PODCAST bonus episode for patreons only is now live. So here’s me and @kphipps3000.bsky.social with our first edition of FORD ESCAPE: U.S. MARSHALS
