Good Evening, Bluesky Family & Friends My first "Nocturne" from 1896 is by American Composer Amy Beach. The 3rd Movement of her "Symphony in e minor, Op. 32 ('Gaelic')" is marked 'Lento con molta espressione", partly nocturnal sounding. Her inspiration was the plight of her Irish ancestors.

Good Evening, Bluesky Family & Friends Tonight's "Nocturne" is the last piece completed in 1895 that I'm going to share. This weekend we begin 1896. Russian Composer Alexander Scriabin wrote this very short Prelude as the Fourth of Five. This is "5 Preludes, Op. 16, No. 4: Lento in e-flat minor".
