If they don't like those delaying tactics, well, sucks for them. If Beshear wants to run for President, he appoints Massie, whom the Kentucky GOP *hates*, and make them primary a Republican Senator while Massie takes all their court filings and makes campaign ads out of it.

They did so without amending the KY constitution; there's been eight senators appointed by Kentucky governors since that constitution was adopted in 1890. Beshear thinks the law is unconstitutional. He can appoint a Senator and let the GOP fight in court, using every delaying tactic the GOP uses.

Kennedy moved to Florida after losing his job. On reinstatement, he rented an apartment in Bremerton, coached one game, resigned, and moved back to Florida. He got a $2 million settlement from the school district. He does speaking tours for constitutional religious liberty rather than coaching.
