A one-year minimum contract is subsidized by the league, where the NBA pays the difference between the two-year minimum and the player's actual salary. The two-year minimum is what hits the books. When it's a two-year deal, the league does not subsidize any of the deal and the actual salary counts.

I love that Thunder are being aggressive with an offer sheet for Spencer Jones. He'll give them a different look with some shooting with size. I'd advise Denver to match this offer sheet, as it's a very reasonable contract for Jones. And he became a key rotation guy for Denver.
