Boy do I know that story all too well…show up at 5:00 for a 7:00 downbeat, set up sound, lights and instruments, play 3 hours, leave the venue at 11:30. 5 members in the band and the door money and tips is $250. $50 bucks each for 6.5 hours of work. Obviously it’s a labor of love.
