O’Neal helped purge me & all the other Black full-time staff columnists at the Post Opinion Section. I challenged his move to fire me in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk killing. And he testified against me in June. We are expecting an arbitration ruling soon. Convenient time for him to quit.

This is a good question. In the age of AI, without guardrails and cultural protections, we are losing creative sovereignty rapidly. Maybe we will be going back to live theater, and talking circles in order to transmit stories and knowledge at this point.

I agree with her 100%, but it highlights a huge dilemma—how does anyone reclaim sovereignty in an AI world that treats all cultural expression as fuel for the machine?
