Cried over this last week Paolo I can’t do this right now

It’s a disability, and to claim it is a trend or a cover-up for laziness should be strongly opposed.

And I know this has also been villainised by TikTok’s cult of pop psychology, perpetuating the trope that ADHD is a quirk, a simple absent-mindedness, something of an excuse for bad behaviour, and an easy algorithmic diagnosis. ADHD isn’t contagious. You can’t “have it” by proximity to your friends

Ten years ago I would have said “flip the script until it’s too late.” It’s been too late, and Farage holds the screenplay. No value in meeting that halfway.

We think of events like those as future policy papers. We expect a militarised state response because those events are policing events. We reflect on our own strategies in order to tighten what we consider to be loose bolts. We center ourselves and uphold our state apparatus.

Ive been waiting on this for a very long time

“Wholly inaccurate accusations”, they say, after carefully crafting a mosque to burn and carefully planting flags of proscribed organisations. Meanwhile, have you checked on the status of recent Palestine Action detainees?

And maybe we should do something about that.

I am deeply, deeply concerned with the ramifications this will have on populations from the Maghreb settled in Spain, France, Belgium and the UK. Populations already feeling trapped, alienated and afraid. The next few days will be the Olympics of hate speech.

This quick and large wave is a sign something is off, not a sign that this is a calculated military effort to invade Europe from the south. This isn’t Operation Dragoon (my grandfather was OD vet) - there is no enemy. There are just hopeful ideals that don’t materialise.

For all their huffing+puffing over Trump, which is absolutely justified, is the immense hypocrisy of secretly wanting to do the exact same thing - secretly detain and secretly deport - well on its way. So many ideals sold to the nearest white supremacist, sometimes historical, sometimes in big tech

I am a third generation European, and this sickens me. Not because I don’t expect it, but because that’s all I’m expecting. Self-isolationism creeps up on any fragile democracy, it’s no surprise. It’s the fact that we did it to ourselves over and over again.

Here is a good dive into the crusader imagery now being tied to extreme nationalist movements in the UK theconversation.com/alt-right-cl...

Alt-right claims to march in step with the Knights Templar – this is fake historyThanks to the way they are portrayed in films and books, the Knights Templar have become identified with narrow-minded nationalism. This is unjust and inaccurate.theconversation.com

Given the presence of the Knights Templar in Glasgow - a medieval organisation without any ties to today’s supposed racial or cultural divide but later affiliated with the KKK - it boggles the mind that even the terror watchdog doesn’t see this as a hallmark of an internal conflict to come.

I say that pretty much daily but violent protests aimed at intimidating a group based on their protected characteristic is violent extremism and any damage or violence to the person - from injury to GBH, from hate speech to a pogrom - meets the terrorism criteria.

It’s always been the case. They absolutely claim the inheritance from Vichy. They state everywhere they can that they refuse to be shamed anymore. They use the same chants. They invoke the same symbols.

040

It always comes down to that point: who are we to decide who gets to live? Whether it’s on a dinghy in the Mediterranean or in the streets of Alsace, who decides who gets to live?

000

Yes, hate speech kills. Yes, hate crimes kill, not always directly. Yes, systemic hate kills. Yes, online posts kill. Yes, presence at racist protests kill. All of this creates an atmosphere of chronic dehumanisation and fosters violence to the point it couldn’t sustain that young life.

Is this about the PSNI
