Crazy story: professor embeds invisible prompt into a midterm to include a nonsensical reference to Madagascar in a paper about the Industrial Revolution. 32 of 35 turned in papers with phrases like "Madagascar purple bicycle whispers to the ceiling." They didn't even read what they submitted!

I feel you but a 22-minute running time was the pressure cooker than gave us brilliant sit-coms like 30 Rock, just unparalleled JPM (jokes per minute). 34-minute comedy shows always drag. Almost every 57-minute streaming episode feels 10 minutes too long.

There was a time when the commercials you'd have to endure on TV only took 2 minutes of 30. Then it was 4. Then 6. Soon 22 minutes was normal. People grew to hate commercials not because they existed per se, but because of the insatiable greed of the hungry ghosts atop the pyramid of capitalism.
