I agree with this yeah. Unfortunately the people saying this ARE including everyone beyond just the pricks.
Which like I said, I get it. But it’s such a low reward conversation AT BEST that I don’t think it’s worth being passionate about lol
Add in the circumstantial aspects of dating that are hard to control (e.g. location) and it makes the whole issue not worth fixating over
Energy better spent on the bigger systemic/cultural changes that will trickle down to dating preferences anyway
It’s like yeah. Okay. Someone acknowledges where there preferences come from.
The system and culture that created those preferences is still there. That person’s individual interrogation won’t change that.
I understand there isn’t one singular Consumer™️ hive mind by the way.
But that’s kinda my point about why “Consumer is always right” is a problem. Because all voices are NOT equally valid lol
My stance has always been that people generally don’t actually know what they want. So you shouldn’t listen to their solutions. I say this as someone who also makes things.
But I think most people’s stance is very much “consumer is always right” despite that mindset biting them in the ass often
For the record, I’m probably not as militant as everyone else is about policing how people feel about the issue. And I don’t even own a PS5.
But just as an observer. It really does look like a checkmate situation.
