Cornyn truly had nothing left to lose, ah well I’m sure this “written assurance” will be enough

John Cornyn & Thom Tillis issue a joint statement announcing they will support Todd Blanche for AG. He's now in good position to clear the Judiciary Committee tomorrow and head to the full Senate.

Also speaking at Chorizo y Menudo is comptroller candidate @saraheckhardttx.bsky.social. Says it’s long past time the chief financial officer of the state is not beholden to the rich and powerful. Crowd boos when she says her opponent is MAGA millionaire Don Huffines (who Abbott appointed).

I’m at a completely packed LULAC Council 102’s Chorizo y Menudo this morning where they are hosting Texas congressional candidate Bobby Pulido. It’s a race a lot of folks in Texas and the country are watching.

I am very sad to hear this. "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe" is one of the most poignant young adult books I've read -- and it sucks that it's on so many banned lists. Saenz's last book is coming out this September.

This made up revisionism is especially weird because COVID killed one Republican member of Congress (Ron Wright) and a Republican member-elect. This never gets mentioned!
