I think what a lot of sci-fi writers who used robots as a censor friendly replacement for marginalized communities in allegories about bigotry hadn’t considered was that the backlash would be more about corporate overreach than being bigoted against the robots themselves.
Adam TranterHumans should not be forced off pavements by delivery robots, but that's exactly what's happening. The people who pay the price are those with the least room to give it up.
