I went to Heroes Con once, it was great. Huge artists alley, no celebs, lots of comic dealers. I hear they treat their comics guests very well. If the US BS stuff every goes away, I plan on going back.

Ah well, it has happened to me. Did an interview with Neal Adams. It was a great interview, probably one of the best I've ever done. Later discovered my recorder was set to Line In instead of microphone and all I got was an hour of dead air.

That or you ran out of battery power and it just turned off.

How did you record it? Digital recorder? I'll be honest, it doesn't look very good.

It's the voters who decide what is and is not a litmus test, not the politicians who are trying to redefine what it is, because they know they'll fail the ones the voters are applying to them.

That's my memory of the 90s too. I wasn't that big into Anime, but I don't recall any hatred for it. Anime was just different and you mostly had to seek it out if you wanted to see it. You might see Sailor Moon on cartoon network while flipping through channels, among all the other shows you passed.

That's a VAN van, not a mini Van. VAN van's, particularly ones with custom cool paint jobs were never uncool. It's a shame we don't see them anymore.

I watched the first season of this, waiting for this season to finish so I can binge watch it.

there, just that creators from a different era get overlooked. The Eisner's used to cap the number of creators per year to 4. I suspect that was due to time constraints as the awards already go over 2 hours which people grumble about. It has lead to a lot of worthy people not being in HOF yet.

I think this is one of the reasons there is a separate Hall of Fame committee, who put a bunch of people in every year. It seems when it comes to voting, today's professionals tend to vote for creators they know that are still actively making comics. I'm not suggesting they don't deserve to be in

Oh well, silly me then.

Maybe he should write a song about it. Might be his first hit in 40 years.
