The insensitivity of this statement from the CAQ minister is mind-boggling. Batshaw is not a neonatal unit where the causes of death are natural. Kids are dying and this guy greets the news with a shrug. He should be gone by lunchtime. montrealgazette.com/news/provinc...

When you've been writing as long as I have, sentences are always forming in the back of your mind, usually without notice. But I woke at 1:30 a.m. to this one: "Within the next month, things will happen that will alter everything we know." No thoughts. That's all. Just wanted it on the record.

Gosh... Do you think there might be a link between Infantino sucking up to Trump and this scummy Kushner plan to break up the World Cup and sell it to billionaires for parts? Kushner is only Trump's son-in-law, after all. The Swamp Unbridled and Infantino is part of it.

I don't know what the reason was for the lag between the time the new broke and the official announcement from the Canadiens, but the hiring of Derek Lalonde as associate coach of the Canadiens is a brilliant move. They needed his experience in the playoffs. In our humble opinion.

A friend was hacked this week and it was a bad one. They got into her phone, changed her banking emails, got access to her credit cards, bought World Cup tix for $18,000 and spent $6,000 at a hardware store, among other things. Her husband works in IT. Change those passwords, kids!

A superb dissection of Thomas Tuchel's fumbled World Cup semifinal from one of the best soccer writers in the world. And wholly convincing, I might add. Tuchel f'ed up. www.theguardian.com/football/202...

Hard to imagine a more stultifying event than watching Toronto FC and CF Montreal play a nil-nil draw after the knockout phases of the World Cup. That there were people there at all is a minor miracle.

Barf. Not a home opener I want to see, Habs vs. Carolina. Will Tom Dundon's kids be honoured at centre ice before the game?

Have to say one thing for English soccer fans: They may be obnoxious, trouble-making drunks, but they never let go of their illusions.

This is just pathetic. The UK wanting a FIFA investigation because an Argentine player unfurled a Falklands banner. I suppose they want an investigation of Jude Bellingham for hitting an opponent in the head AFTER the game? Seriously, grow up. You lost. Don't be big babies and sore losers. Be better

Good lord. The whining. After Gordon scored yesterday, England had 12 percent possession the rest of the way. 12 PERCENT!!! With the game on the line, England folded. That's not bad luck or dirty tricks. That's not being NEARLY good enough.

Hugo Gordon

C'mon lads, have some self respect

So in the end, England was all talk. They were lucky to have a lead but the stats were all heavily skewed to Argentina and the beating could have been a lot worse. Harry Kane was a total non-factor. But no country in Europe stands up to Trump more than Spain. Vamos Espana!

So English fans pay another debt to karma for attempting to trash the entire nation of France in 1998. And Harry Kane pays a debt for golfing with Trump.
