I've read all the sequels (except any that might still be getting written, I'm not one of the beta readers), and thumbs up for the series.

I have in fact read this book! And most of the sequels. I liked the first book a lot; I got an actual sense of risk for the characters, which isn't something I usually get with books aimed at the pre-YA youngers. It is *super silly*. Like, it makes Dr Who look completely serious non-speculative fic.

Pokopia update. Gallade hated his room. Lowest level. He asked for it to be brighter. It had two lights already! So I put in a really bright light and he said it was better but he wanted more. I ended up putting in five lights and it dragged him from ‘worst’ to ‘best’. That dude loves Lamp.

Outlines within outlines. Lists within lists. I can’t hold much in my head either, so I do that. If the line in the list is too vague, start a new list just for it breaking it into specific items.

I don’t think I know anyone in both those groups *simultaneously*.

McConnell did have one genius. He had the psychopath’s ability to spot exploitable norms and break them. Being the first to break social rules is a very rare power. What it doesn’t require is intelligence or competence.

You have to try to be nice, but yeah, those little bastards aren't listening. They're almost as bad as monkeys. Just keep it from growing. If they get big enough they'll pick up the house and walk away, like a hermit crab.

Next time I shall try to remember photos as they come out of the oven.

Frying burgers in their own grease wins again. I'm sure these are as unhealthy as they taste, but they taste SO RICH.
