I sometimes will add doing flutter kicks off the side or some actual swimming laps but the slower pace still works fine for my needs.

I get into the pool and pick a spot where the water goes up to around my shoulders and go back and forth, knee highs. My phone is a Galaxy S10 so I just take it in with me and use reasonably waterproof earbuds for music and go back and forth for at least an hour but I try to aim for two.

I have been doing so much fucking pool walking because of my shitty knee this summer and I am OVER it. I need to and it is good for me but oh my god.

Okay so I thought this was really stupid at first, but in terms of the rave scene developing to be part-escapism, this made more sense as part of the larger context of what they're trying to say.

Hashirama and Tobirama switch over from wearing more traditional gi as kids and teenagers to more western styled clothing- turtlenecks- under their armor. It's a really fun touch with how we see their world mixes very different clothing styles.

This is one of those things I really have fun playing with and need to return to with fic because we see the indicators that the Naruto world is firmly 20th century as early as Hashirama and Madara. Not just from the tech we can see with early Konoha but clothes.

Honestly I think it's more specifically weird with Shippuden considering it's a dramatic change from the manga for no real reason.

That's what I mean. They most likely don't know who Madara is, so they'd be confused at learning that this big enemy of the war most of their parents fought in was an Uchiha. They'd want to learn more and it'd put Sarada in an awkward position.

To be fair, this may be Gai being discreet. "I got injured fighting Uchiha Madara" would definitely cause a big flutter with Sarada’s set of classmates.

Yeah. I think it's also a fantastic example of just how dangerous just touching any of it can be, because it's been built to be addicting and make people dependant on it.

But throwing a purity fit over the manga where the plot is basically about an evil mass murdering main character being let loose to go after other horrible people is the definition of ridiculous when so much of the typical more popular things out there already have enough that would be upsetting.

Yeah, that's just wild to somehow not pick up with how varied that list is and given what the plot of that manga is to begin with. I get getting bothered by manga that are directed towards kids and have preteens drawn in fan service poses, I'm not impressed by that stuff generally either.

Oh yeah, AI use is basically a disqualifier in so many ways, but that's also why they're pushing it so hard.

Wha... If they're so utterly against the sexualization of teenagers to begin with, how in the world are they into manga or manga to begin with? It's nearly everywhere.

I am *significantly* more broke and will straight up be eating a lot of beans for the foreseeable future, but I'm *free*. Once I get things moved around I'm going to be able to write and draw again. 😭
