I think you can do some of the most training-like education remotely with highly motivated students, but more general stuff that's about getting well-rounded knowledge and developing abstract skills is nearly impossible to do remotely in my experience

the same system that keeps the Internet Archive from showing you copies of books they already have is the one encouraging their destruction here: it is legal to digest these books and destroy them but illegal to even share the scans that result
