Like scene setting, we think we are being told “these are hard times and hard men but it’s just the way of things and these guys just trying to go home” but actually the burning village is the whole thesis of the movie!

The audience has already seen that the crew will show up in random villages and steal provisions leaving smoldering rubble in their wake but the film intentionally down plays it until it slaps you in the face at the end and Patel’s performance was crucial to that reveal imo

If we’re talking about a movie and you haven’t seen it then you don’t meet the minimum qualification to be in the conversation! You are not tall enough to ride this ride and I’m NOT interested in playing movie analysis telephone with someone who by definition doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

She also listed Lupita, Zendaya, and Travis Scott! One character was the picture of (justified) contempt, one murders the only person she has a scene with, one was made significantly less helpful than she is in the source material, and I don’t think Travis Scott’s character talks to anyone else?

I didn’t care for that at all. Which character was that even about? It only applied to maybe one character she specifically listed by name! What was she even referring to?
