“A three-judge panel,” Mr. Netanyahu said in the first call with Mr. Graham, will be “making the decision very soon.” Mr. Graham joked to Mr. Netanyahu that he should “pay me for all this.” “So send me over whatever you want to say.” www.nytimes.com/2026/07/28/u...

Journalist @courtneybonneau.bsky.social filmed a field report from this area just last month, though many of the now-destroyed buildings pictured in the Sentinel-2 imagery are hidden from the camera's vantage point: x.com/cbonneauimag...
Seems pure destruction is the intent given past comments from Israel's defense minister: www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_ent... Though there have been recent attempts by extremist settler groups to cross into both Lebanon and Syria: t.me/manniefabian...
Sentinel-2 imagery taken over the past 10 days in southern Lebanon shows continued mass demolitions in villages in IDF-occupied territory. Haddatha, Beit Yahoun & Kounine, north of Bint Jbeil, all show signs of large-scale demolitions between July 18 & July 28 (in addition to previous demolitions).
Jake GodinThis is the area around Baraachit as seen in June 25 and July 15 Sentinel-2 imagery. Both of the villages of Haddatha and Beit Yahoun show signs of heavy demolition/destruction. They were both previously outside the Yellow Line before it was extended last month.

The Pentagon removed the names of 4 servicemembers who died in Jordan from their official list of Iran war casualties. They explain that this is because "their deaths occurred after President Trump declared a cease-fire in the war in April." Free gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/07/23/u...
New, from me and @ckoettl.bsky.social: Iran has attacked at least nine U.S. military sites in the last two weeks, destroying radar sites, personnel areas, hangars, and other structures, and killing at least three service members. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/22/w...
Good piece from Julia Frankel and @leekeath.bsky.social at AP on the growth of these berms throughout Gaza: apnews.com/article/isra... No comment from Trump admin or the "Board of Peace".
For some context with the Guardian piece shared below: there aren't a lot of new changes visible in southern Gaza in recent @planet.com SkySat imagery from yesterday. The IDF is constructing a new berm near the Yellow Line area north of the destroyed Swedish Village in the southern Al-Mawasi area.
