I'm gonna harp on this again: film criticism is not arcane body of knowledge only available to a select few who "know film." The gatekeeping, shibboleth-requiring, "how dare she not be grateful" bullshit these last two days had been insufferable.

This is simply not true! You all need to read film criticism that isn't part of a press package.
Tom & LorenzoPeople don't seem to want to admit that "I would be ashamed to have written any part of this" is shockingly harsh language for the average film review. She's within her rights to say it, and she knew exactly the response she would get for it, but it's definitely an eyebrow-raiser
👇 "The vast majority of people who work in film and television are not studio executives, nor are they famous actors. They are, overwhelmingly, blue-collar workers, freelancers, and small businesses. And they are in free fall." Yes.
Alvaro M. BedoyaPeople think "Hollywood" is rich and famous. The reality? Film and TV is a national industry. It's a blue collar industry. And it is an industry free fall.
