Ich bin mir nicht mal sicher, dass sie sich aktiv dazu entschieden hat, die FPÖ zu stärken. Ich glaube eher, dass sie a) immer noch glaubt, dass es ihr hilft, die FPÖ einzuholen. b) diese Art von Politik tatsächlich befürwortet und vertritt. Letzteres finde ich noch besorgniserregender.

Mir ist schon klar, dass das alles nichts neues ist von der ÖVP, aber man sieht regelrecht wie sie sich über die Zeit immer weiter radikalisiert. Und ich persönlich bin’s leid dass eine Partei sich als liberal demokratischer Schutzwall inszeniert während sie anti-demokratische Akteure befeuert.

Ich weiß wirklich nicht mehr, was ich dazu sagen soll. Die ÖVP bewirbt auf ihren Social-Media-Kanälen ihre Abschiebepolitik und bedient sich dabei der Sprache, Bilder und Symbolik der Rechtsextremen.

This piece really does it all when it comes to mainstreaming the far right and normalising democratic erosion. It's almost a form of art. Then again, looking at the author and the outlet, maybe this shouldn't be a surprise.
