John CuttingBaldur's Gate 3 except you're just a normal citizen who got scooped up in the beginning. However, through a series of misunderstandings, legendary heroes keep rallying to you and sacrificing themselves for you needlessly, despite your protestations. Basically, Baldur's Gate meets Life of Brian.
They went from a "whatever" brand to an irredeemable brand like Hobby Lobby or Chic-Fil-A where I will actively scorn people who buy it. It's a predictable, avoidable, and permanent mistake that anyone with a lick of empathy would have avoided.
