I bought an Uncle Tupelo best of during my Anthrocon trip because as a big Wilco fan I thought I may as well just have something by the pre-Wilco group in my shelf even if just as a curio I'll rarely listen. Turns out I'm absolutely hooked onto this compilation & I want to hoard the albums now.

The hottest rap verse of the year is BoC's "Father and Son".

How's about this double whammy of introspective, dense and sonically expansive Greatest of All Time, changed-music-forever-for-me albums from autumn 1998. (also echoing the sentiments I've seen of the original prompt being oddly grunge-focused)

Reckon the usual Thursday Revisit of the Week post is going to be a tomorrow job, today's ran pretty late and I'm kind achy so I think it's a sit-down-and-listen-to-music kind of evening, not thinky-writey evening.

The fox family house that has acted as our large clan's central hub since the 1970s has now been fully emptied, running water shut, internet cut, etc. All it now does is wait for a prospective buyer. Really feels like the end of an era & I'm taking it very emotionally.

I've been having a bit of Bad Mind fortnight, but as I've been doing my monthly payday-adjacent finance sorting over the last 24h, I'm taking a big positive brain boost from how well I've managed to balance spending/savings/debts last month despite all the travelling and extra costs.
