in zimmerman’s favor here: incumbency bias; fundraising correlates with votes, but 2024 had lots of high fundraisers who went on to lose. in arnold’s favor: he only lost by a couple hundred votes to zimmerman and more $ could have made a difference

arnold outraised zimmerman in 2024 with 900 donors to zimmerman’s 500 and around 150k to zimmerman’s 100k. looking like he’s pulling further ahead this year

I like to think that if zoning and building codes were less of a binding constraint on housing construction that development would shift to inner city areas and it wouldn’t make economic sense to do those car oriented exurban apartment developments
