Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!

I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.

It’s weird to be clearly living through exactly what was warned about with global warming and still have the concept treated as a future event or hypothetical.
