for me Shaw has to have kind of a sleazy, sexual edge to him. In the comics they all walk around in 17th century fetish gear and hellfire club is not so subtle sex club. That’s not really waltz’s form of sinister energy.

Waltz doesn’t really look right for Shaw though (although neither does Kevin bacon really) The best actor I can think of that looks the most like Shaw is Ian McShane. Not that you need the actor to look like the character but McShane is awesome anyways.
