The art style's really eye catching, too! Like, I can visualize them exactly in my head. I had forgotten about them (I have such a huge backlog) but as soon as you mentioned Mermaid Mask I could visualize the main redheaded detective guy immediately

YES, they were very formative for me actually! Along with Nitro+ games, they were my first exposure to Japanese VNs alongside horror VNs like Higurashi, etc A total classic and honestly, I could go for a replay soon! I miss them

Playing a lot of investigative/mystery games these days for... reasons... and looking for recommendations! Adventure/puzzle games like Type Help/The Incident at Galley House, The Roottrees are Dead, Return of the Obra Dinn, The Seance of Blake Manor preferred!

Couldn't sleep until I finished The Incident At Galley House tonight. Ended up staying up way too late. Totally worth it. Fantastic game. If you've any appreciation for investigation mysteries like Return of the Obra Dinn or Case of the Golden Idol, you NEED to play this one next. Go in blind.
