sometimes I write. sometimes I stare at birds. photographs/art my own unless otherwise stated. queer. it/its and she/her in unequal measure. 🔞 actually just a moth. maybeelse.site

A few years back I read Kim Stanley Robinson's "The Ministry For The Future", a work of climate fiction that's ... quite obnoxiously liberal in places, honestly. The bits about blockchain did not age well. It has quite a number of segments that are & were deeply affecting, though.

I hear there's a plastic surgeon out in Massachusetts who does a kind of FFS that makes your face impossible to photograph. Sounds kinda nice ...

being told that you're intimidating by a woman who's about to ask to make out with you is actually pretty nice, tbh

Do you actually want to have sex, or is being sexually desired just the only way your brain can understand people wanting to be friends with you?

feeling the flame of desire burning inside my chest is actually pretty uncomfortable

t-gel has not improved the situation, but I think it's helping my smut writing, sooooo

hmm I think I may die if I don't get shoved under a beautiful woman's dress and forced to eat her out soon. possibly. lifespan prediction is still an inexact science but the actuarial tables are quite clear on the probabilities involved

pausing in the middle of a princess jerking off to discuss the sociopolitical implications of her onanism, (if she's very horny about the political consequences of anyone finding out what she's doing, then it's easy to blend some exposition in without breaking the sequence's flow)

If your smut doesn't frontload a bunch of unnecessary worldbuilding, what the fuck are you writing? An IKEA manual?

I got tired of having this sitting in my drafts. It's rather rough around the edges, but I think it communicates most of what I set out to. maybeelse.site/words/power-...

Power Objects in Hypnosis: an essayI like when objects feel magical—when they’re heavy with significance, when they’re part of someone’s body map, when triggers or headspaces are tied to them.maybeelse.siteElse

oh no, I accidentally started drafting the outline of a talk about using different types of power objects in hypnosis, this isn't going to end well

I think the first time I saw someone talking about telling an LLM to add typos and grammatical mistakes to seem less like an LLM was at least a year ago, and that (along with swearing, iirc) has been a strategy in Turing tests for at least a decade. What the fuck are we even doing here.

Authors and journalists are doing more first-person (hello 2010s blogging) and embracing "mistakes" in writing to prove they're not chatbots. There's even an “anti-Grammarly" app that leaves in typos and signs off "sent from my iPhone" to create more authenticity: www.wired.com/story/more-t...
