Maybe it looked as though those people were doing nothing but after the agitators had gone, the damage they had done was magically removed and repaired overnight. We had a good day today because people went out of their way unobserved and unacknowledged. On the whole I believe people are good.

Last night I saw a lot of people who were silently outraged in the face of hate. Scared to act or speak out when the threat of violence was right in front of them. I am still glad for them even if they could not do what others did because I know they are ready to act in other less direct ways.
