Very interesting findings. I actually would have expected an interoceptive cycle like this to have an affect on the feeling of agency (and that this might be relevant for retraining sense of agency in conditions like FND). But this study suggests maybe not!

Using intentional binding, we separated agency over actions and agency over outcomes. ❌To our surprise, agency over actions was unaffected by cardio-respiratory phase. Bodily rhythms didn’t seem to change the prospective feeling of controlling an action. [3/5]
