Entirely setting aside the moral issues here⦠Rural services tend to be the primary vectors by which progressive people and ideas find their way into rural communities. Defunding rural services would remove those vectors, enabling conservative ruralites to hold back society even *harder*.

The one change that should be made is adding the words: New Zealand in front of English. The Oxford Dictionary of New Zealand English includes nearly 700 te reo words in common usage. And that number is growing every year.
