“Hilarious”- Stephen Fry. "Psychedelic." - The Guardian. "Made me laugh out loud." - David Sedaris. "Not humerus at all." - Amazon review. Social media is transient nonsense. Read more of my stuff here: https://www.tom-cox.com

Another great indie bookshop worth checking out (even if you can't get there in person)!

Everything Will Swallow You is one of the most beautiful and thoughtful books I’ve read in ages. One of those books that lingers for a long time. Thank you. Read here in West Cork thanks to Dubray Books (Irish indie which also does free delivery)

The italicised "will" is my favourite bit. If the scent of that food carries on the wind into the nostrils of those badgers, there will be no hesitation or debate. Doesn't matter what is on the menu. Mere canvas will not stand in their way.

I really want to believe a badger made this sign then placed it at the campsite up the road from me, solely because it gets high from being an agent of chaos.

People who don't write books assume writer's block is staring at a blank page with zero ideas. In truth it's invariably the opposite. Writer's block is when a dazzling array of options become tyrannical, team up with an unwillingness to fail, mug you in a dark alley and stick a bag over your head.

Another good interdimensional portal: the Tolmen Stone on Dartmoor, above the North Teign river on Dartmoor. Said to cure rickets, rheumatic fever & various other ailments when you pass through it from above. Also quite a useful location if you are shooting the cover for your debut psych-folk album.

The UK countryside is full of interdimensional portals. You just have to know where to look. I've decided to make a thread here of some of the best ones I've found on walks. 1. JRR Tolkien's Psychedelic Lime Kiln.

If you’re outside the UK and want some of Tom’s mum’s art (which you should) go to her Etsy store and check out her cool art. She ships to the US and might even add a bookmark to your order! I got a handwritten thank you card and bookmark when I bought two pictures

If anyone would like a signed one of these, with a free linocut bookmark by my mum, do drop me an email at hello@tom-cox.com. I still have a handful left. Sorry, only sending to UK due to postage costs, but if you are outside the UK, Blackwell's will of course send you the book with free delivery.

In the spirit of the 1980's balloon races that are (rightly)no longer environmentally acceptable, here we are enjoying the Sicilian sun. Tried to get a good picture of Mt Etna billowing smoke ominously in the background, but couldn't work out a good 'everything will spew you back out' pun, sorry

In case anyone else wants to take advantage of this amazing free delivery offer, I've written a little guide to my books - and what you might like to try first if you are new to my work - here: www.tom-cox.com/a-brief-guid...

A Brief Guide To My BooksVillager is where I'd advise you to start if you wanted to read one of my novels. It's also the one people most frequently tell me they reread. It's set on a fictional moor which just happens to be in...www.tom-cox.comall this is passing

I’ve ordered almost your entire collection from Blackwells. Super easy and pretty quick to Northern California. I’m glad I have these on the shelf as an antidote for modern times.
