I teach kids about history and I hang out with my family. Still brainstorming on the profile pic and header. He/him

And then once you find people who are 1) willing to campaign and 2) able to do it, well you have to find the ones who are 3) also able to do the job that they are running for.

Yup. Running for office is a horrible experience. My father wanted to be in politics and public service his entire life. When I was a little kid, he ran for city council and ran a tight race into a runoff (and ultimately lost)... it was a horrible experience for our whole family.

Oh, this book definitely looks like it will be worth picking up. It's cool to see Jurgens and Ordway on the same piece of art.

Jerry Ordway

So, this month DC is soliciting orders for the Superman & Lois 30th Anniversary special, and many of the original team that brought you the wedding are involved! Here’s the wraparound cover art Dan Jurgens pencilled and I inked! Preorder from your local comic shop! Thanks!

I did not cover this issue of ACTION in my latest DC in 1984 roundup because it pairs with a story that ran in SUPERGIRL in March. But when Clark popped the lens from his glasses I thought “OK, I see why they thought this character might need a refresh.”

Heh. Parasite was also the villain in Feb 1984’s issue of ACTION COMICS, in which Superman defeated him with the help of the Kryptonian lens of his super-glasses.

My thoughts on DC’s books from Feb 1984 (cover date May) as I try to figure out what things were like before the CRISIS. www.notnews.org/comics/dc-co... #comics #comicsky #comicbooks

The Post-Crisis Lex Luthor gets a worthy introduction, we see how Clark Kent shaves, and Lois Lane has her ‘80s glamazon phase in THE MAN OF STEEL #4, which turns 40 today superfanxl.com/2026/07/31/t...

I don’t remember if I skimmed this at the B Dalton or if I had to wait until I got my hands on the TPB - back when TPBs were rare!

BACK ISSUE! Magazine
