Kevin WilsonThis was something a lot of housing advocates saw coming a mile away when the immigration cuts were announced. The fundamental stance of Canadian cities is that they prefer high prices to building housing. They love high prices. Easing off immigration was never going to change that.
I do think we have to very carefully guard against unequal enforcement and brutalizations of homeless people But tolerating ‘disorder’ rather than accepting it as an issue and proactively and compassionately addressing it just means that the right will come in and brutalize people all they want

Gondolas are great when there is a big gap to be covered like a river or freeway, or when there is a great elevation difference. Street gondolas will either be under-capacity for someone too cheap to build subway or, a waste of money compared to just painting bus lanes
