Which is what I assume happened. I don’t know what will happen in MI; I suspect a modest Stevens win but a solid El-Sayed win wouldn’t shock me. But people out of state who fervently care about this primary are prob 10-1 for El-Sayed

I’m sure Bernie would have crushed everybody in something like that during to 2020 primaries. But the most committed, fervent, zealous vote in the world still only counts as one vote. And only where they’re registered.

Surprising to me that Murphy didn’t get more support, since—because of TNT—he was the first big star who the whole country could see play every game.

I think his own performance is enough to justify his being in the HOF. But in that intangible category, it’s hard to see Lou not there w Tram. They made each other better, for their whole careers. Ruth/Gehrig, Bagwell/Biggio, maybe Morgan/Bench..what other duos have higher combined WAR as teammates?

Nobody. Denial is a branch of the Chicago River. Deep Tunnel was ahead of its time, but is already insufficient, and the money it would take to address 100 year storms coming 2 or 3 times a year will never be forthcoming.

You can watch the whole debate on fox2detroit.com. But I doubt you'll hear anything you didn't know. I also doubt it'll have any impact one way or the other. The other local news programs are completely ignoring it, which has been par for the course in this year's coverage of primary campaigns.

What’s been going on in crypto since 2024? Am I correct that the valuation has gone way down since 2024? I’m wondering bc 2024 crypto had a ton of pocket money to spend on independent expenditures (like what they spent against Sherrod Brown).

There are few lobbies that do $10m IE’s on behalf of a primary candidate in a very Dem seat. It’s crypto, tech, AIPAC…maybe the gambling lobby?

And at least 95% of the election officials in their state oppose it because it can’t be implemented.
