Holy fuck The Odyssey movie was bad. What the hell were they thinking with Darth Agemenon?

I'm almost done with Book 1 of the Aeneid and have a question for those who have read it, does it get better? I find myself struggling to get into the story where The Iliad & Odyssey grabbed me from the start with such beautiful prose. The Aeneid so far seems to me The Godfather 3 of the Trojan War

I hope my fears are unfounded but with a 14th Amendment birthright citizenship challenge decision pending and tomorrow being Juneteenth I can see the SCOTUS stripping away rights on a holiday commemorating gaining them. Considering they didn't just smack this case away from the get go says a lot.
