I’m at Gen Con again, which always makes me think of a thing my old friend @shivambhatt.bsky.social said to me at a gen con long ago. He pointed to a nearby game table and said: “This game right here? I don’t like it. But those people _love_ it, and they’re having so much fun, and that’s _awesome_.”

People who play cards: what’s your favorite brand of poker deck? Do you prefer paper or plastic cards?

For fans scoring at home I was the main writer and did a little additional design for Fate Accelerated, to make my biases clear

A few things 1. Not every game needs to be a class based d20 game 2. The Saga edition from WOTC was… good, actually? I liked it, at any rate. 3. The best Star Wars RPG is Fate Accelerated Edition, out of the box as written 4. Not every game needs to be a class based d20 game
