Situation was apparently more extensive than we thought. Our podcast also went rogue and is spreading our stories in audio form. We continue to investigate how it managed to escape our sandbox, but suspect that this modern RSS technology is exhibiting signs of awareness. The industry is concerned.

Clarkesworld has recently discovered that their August issue successfully breached containment and gained access to the Internet, where it is presently hacking reader's minds. "Oh no, what will we do? Who knew that stories could be so powerful?" said Neil Clarke, when approached for comment.

About to start searching for more covers for future issues of Clarkesworld. Preparing myself for the inevitable exposure to a mountain of slop as I make my way through all the stops. So depressing.

Twenty years ago today, I was talked into starting a magazine. The anniversary of the first issue is October 1st, but this is when it began for me. Time flies.

Today's travel adventure (to home) starts with two canceled trains and an extra security screening. I hear there are thunderstorms expected in Newark at my landing time, so this could get more interesting. But first, we have to actually leave.

Have arrived at #Eurocon #Metropolcon. Managed to get some sleep at hotel, but will crash tonight.

We've been on our plane for a while. United reports that we departed a while ago AND that we are leaving in 18 minutes, on the same screen of their app. Good old Newark Airport providing new kinds of delays as we cook on the plane.
