This is a government for capital, by capital, and of capital. The response to whatever we played as us plebes would have been the same no matter what we picked. Heads, we win. Tails, you lose.

And perhaps worst of all, even more liberals and radlibs would have failed to break out of their bubble because "the good guys are in charge; we pulled the trolley the right way".

While the excuse in this timeline was "welp, Trump won, gotta move right" it would be "we need to move right to help defeat political radicalization (i.e., round up leftists)" "we need to accept 'common-sense' concerns about trans people in sports (and the rest of public life)"
