Apparently some marketing "genius" came up with telling retailers to say to every customer "Welcome In." The whole complete phrase is "Welcome." (You are) is understood. Are we now going to be welcoming people "out," too? Like fingernails on chalkboard to me, but I refrain from snarky comebacks ...
