Being on a clear liquid diet for any length of time is a reminder that the number of calories you're taking in doesn't really matter, food having a texture is so much of what makes eating pleasurable. Nice tasting beverages are only so satisfying.

Corporations need to understand that they are not queer-friendly if they put money in Rowling's pocket. It doesn't matter if they kick a small donation over to GLAAD, they're still collaborating with (& financially supporting) an influential bigot who will use that money to cause harm.

Waking up this morning to discover how many people liked my last project is amazing. As a beginning quilter (I'm old hat at sewing clothes, quilting is new), I feel overwhelmed at times by quilting. The encouragement from quiltsky is priceless. Thank you all.

There are still some threads that need trimming, but I'm happy that my wall quilt is now done.

I feed the cats the same general time every night. It's amazing that they start circling my desk like a couple of furry vultures, at least an hour before they normally get fed.

I keep seeing ads for more subtle medical identification jewelry, & I can't help but think that so many creators/companies are missing the entire point. If you suddenly are unconscious & your medical alert jewelry isn't painfully obvious, somebody looking you over is most likely going to miss it.

Don't threaten us all with a good time.

I mowed the lawn today while it was hot and humid. Post-shower, I am now fully in kaftan mode. It is time to chillax.

No matter how good the vacation is, it inevitably feels good to come home.
