the thesis of this argument, and the article in general, is just "words don't matter" which i think we can all agree is an incredibly dumb view of the world
Seerat SohiWhat *actually* happens if the Fever, Storm, W, PA or anyone else involved responds strongly? The organizers get what they want and peddle more "intolerant left" BS. Another week of on-court stories being overshadowed. Nobodys mind is changed. Materially, no trans person is better off.
The World Cup is well and truly over, and I am feeling it. A shorter Post-Match Report for you today as I continue grieving the loss of non-stop soccer:
ICYMI: I did a little MLSNP digging and come up with a few prospects the Tacoma Defiance/Sounders could consider this transfer window. I know, I know. The fans want a big name singing. Still have to keep the rest of the pipeline in mind though!
Sounder at HeartThese aren’t the headlining moves we all want Sounders to make, but here are three MLS Next Pro targets who would bolster first-team’s depth. 📊: @catabush.com 🎨: @likkitp.ynyaproductions.com www.sounderatheart.com/2026/07/mls-...
Dawg look at those g+ ratings half the team is in the red 😭
MLS AnalyticsPhiladelphia Union: 1 (1.36 xG) vs Seattle Sounders FC: 0 (0.36 xG) #PHIvSEA | #DOOP | #Sounders | #MLS | 🤖⚽
45 MLS players were called up to the world cup. 8 didn't play. 2 made it to the final. For @us.theguardian.com, I ranked every player from best to worst: www.theguardian.com/football/202...
The newsletter may be a day late, but it's here. In this edition of The Post-Match Report, alongside the updates, we're looking at momentum (with a more level-headed approach this time). Where does it come from? What does it mean? Who did it first??
One thing that Miami does really well is using escalating contracts to get >3 DP-caliber players on the field at the same time. The sounders did this with Ferreira and Morris. But I think they forgot the second part, which is that you need to remain active in turning over your squad…
catai am struggling to pinpoint an exact set of pitfalls in this roster construction. on paper one of the better/more efficient rosters in the league. i think maybe: a) more active solutions for injuries (buy people down - Morris?, loans) b) u22s c) too much "hope he stays healthy" roster building
the first yellow was also an unnecessary challenge with multiple defenders covering the space behind Ragen
Sounder at HeartEven worse, Hawkins looked like he had it covered.
@graceonfootball.com's Final recap is very good and everyone should go read it open.substack.com/pub/onfootba...
