Um...yeah. Comparably speaking, there's a reason why you don't hear much from the Dirtbag Left of the 2010s anymore. Many of them were too professionally difficult to work at any institutions beyond a free lance capacity.

I think the creatives who already started their careers and progressed to more managerial roles will be fine. But like other parts of the knowledge *and* creative economy, those who are just beginning their careers or never progressed to a managerial or executive role are up creek.

I think that a lot of users on this website grossly underestimate how bad Ross Douthat's "replacement" will be. I know that sounds like a given, but can you imagine if the NYT replaced him with someone *as* bad as Chris Rufo or Richard Hanania? I don't think it's outside of the realm of possiblity.
