Two things are simultaneously true: AIPAC has been a cancerous sore on the American body politic for decades. A lot of the complaints about AIPAC or the pro-Israel lobby, by both right and left, is a sloppy shorthand for "Jewish conspiracy theory."

This Fauci hearing is the biggest explosion of right wing brainworms I've ever seen. Years of debunked and absurd antivax and "gain of function" conspiracy theories expressed as incoherent screaming at an 85 year old man. It's absolutely demented and embarrassing to watch.

My heart goes out to everyone who tried to take the Washington bar exam. You spend years in law school, months preparing, thousands of dollars on courses, and countless hours putting your life on hold for a single exam. No matter how this ultimately gets resolved, these examinees deserved better.

In my lifetime I don’t think anything has made me want to give up on this broken country like the mass shared delusion about something that happened just a few years ago. So many brains are just completely gone and they’re not coming back.

Never had a specific opinion about Moreno before, but now I pretty much hate him. This is a sick way of talking to someone who, like him or not personally, gave up his and his family's personal security to lead through a crisis that no one else would.

My first thought as well. This article is simplistic and utopian. Mid-sized nations survive and possibly thrive until the pull of entangling alliances ends in world war; small and less affluent nations are simply subsumed. Relying on the US is/was a mistake, but this isn't the answer.

This is what good public servants are forced to do when the GOP refers Jack Smith to DOJ for prosecution. Fauci’s lawyers were smart to give this advice but it’s regrettable.
