"Things were different back then" doesn't make it right. I struggle with Bowie. I struggle with Jimmy Page. I struggle with Mick Jagger. I love the music they produced but they are & were shitty individuals who took advantage of young girls just cos they could. It was wrong then and it's wrong now.

One of my favourite facts is that the awful, awful and failed Broadway musical of carrie has a song and dance routine in togas/ himations. Because someone in a meeting said scenes set in a 70s highschool "should have a Grease feel." the costume designer misunderstood and nobody bothered to change it
