Not really fitting with the article, but what really helped me lean into sports in general was finding @defector.com and reading pieces by folks like @girinathan.bsky.social and @dianamoskovitz.bsky.social who showed me oh shit, you can write beautifully about sports and center the political lens...

I'm glad there has been a bit of a revival of RTS games in recent years, but still waiting for one to give that proper C&C hit. Someone needs to hire and film a bald lad to ham the place up.
