Another another climate-sceptic lobbyist has popped up in the Telegraph. This time John Constable which the article does not declare to its readers is on GWPF's "advisory council" and its "former energy editor". Frost was a GWPF trustee. Cosy. GWPF is a notorious dark-money lobby group

According to the Daily Telegraph and David Goodhart it is all when it comes down to it about ethno-nationalism and race. A far cry from Britishness is all about values.

This is surely curtains for Farage's political career. I don't think there's any coming back from it. I hope not, at any rate. Looks like there could be a strong basis for a criminal case as well. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

The Daily Telegraph has raced through all five stages of climate denial this week. But this is, perhaps, the most ridiculous column so far: "Without minimising the severe downsides…especially on some poorer nations, many in Britain would enjoy the kind of warmer climate predicted by modellers..."

Here's a quick recap of those five stages of climate denial... 1. Deny the problem exists 2. Deny we are the cause 3. Deny it is a problem 4. Deny we can solve it 5. Claim it is too late And we should probably squeeze in... 4.5. Claim we can just adapt www.theguardian.com/environment/...

It's depressing that this moved me so much, but did. First time I've heard a politician praise a group of immigrants, without caveat, for a long while.

On Burnham’s social care speech today, it was deeply refreshing to see him make a point to thank immigrants who provide social care. I hope that reflects where we go with ILR bill but beyond that it is good to hear gratitude and openness rather than scapegoating and penny pinching.
