🫂 quite simply taking it 1 day at a time with her. i cant say how long shes been in a serious condition (just that her gouted foot started acting up 3 weeks ago) and how many of "a few months" shes already used :(

The mass may be related, may not, but her condition is certain, and also certain to be incurable and painful. She is starting 2 more meds this week for her comfort, while keeping in mind uncertain procedure options from another specialized clinic. For now she's being very brave and very spoiled. 💛

Vet got back to me and confirmed my fears :( pearl will be on supportive care for gout, for what is likely only a few months I'm tempted to run a goal to pay for a CT scan just to see what her internal mass is, and to *see* a CT scan of a parakeet...but it wouldn't change anything
